Brian Keith Banks born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, NY with Celiac Disease and partial brain damage. He is part Celtic (Irish) and Native American (Crow Indian) and a husband to a very beautiful and classy Mexican lady and a father to an amazing and beautiful son.
He is a military brat whom his father was stationed in Honolulu, HI who held the rank of Staff Sargent in the U.S.M.C. and is also a member of the Marines Force Recon Unit; a division of the Special Forces of the Marines also known as today’s Marine Raiders. The Navy has the SEALs, the Marines have Force Recon/Raiders.
Upon relocating to Hawaii due to his father being stationed with the Marines, he had to remain in the hospital for almost almost two years as medical staff ran all kinds of tests due to his Celiac, while also receiving multiple shots on a daily basis.
Shortly after his father and mother divorced and she later remarried to another guy stationed in the Navy. Due to the military life Brian and his older brother moved around a lot living in many different cities and states.
In 1988 Brian received his Black Belt in Taekwondo and started teaching Taekwondo while also cross training in Jeet June Do Concepts. Then in 1989 he received his 1st Degree Black Belt and his 2nd Degree Black Belt in 1991. Followed by a personal phone call from GM Brad Whitlow he moved to Murfreesboro, TN to train exclusively under GM Whitlow. He also became a Demo Team Member of GM Whitlow's Taekwondo Demonstration Team.
1993 Brian moved to Dallas, TX and enrolled at the Art Institute of Dallas and in 1995 received his Associates in the Music, Video & Business program and soon after in 1998 graduated a second time with an Associates in Multimedia.
In 2010 Brian moved to Phoenix, AZ where he met his soon to be wife Nayeli Mejia in 2013. Then in 2014 Brian got a Siberian Husky and named her Kali, and in 2015 Brian was promoted to 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo under GM Whitlow. In 2016 Brian and Nayeli welcomed their first child, a son, named him Sean Kaden Mejia-Banks.
Brian then opened his martial club in 2018 at the North Mountain Visitor Center working with the Save Our Mountains Foundation. In 2018 Brian was a Tour Guide on a Segway in Old Town Scottsdale and worked as a Ground Crew Member launching Hot Air Balloons in North Phoenix area. Then in 2019 Brian started working for a Live Theatre Performance set in the Medieval time period and also became a C4 Affiliate with Cellucor.
Taekwondo Instructor and an MMA-Fitness Coach teaching individuals and groups Life Skills, a Group Exx Instructor for fitness centers and a Promoter of martial arts. He has over 10 years experience in Security for hospitals, businesses and private property. He's worked as a Graphic & Web Designer, Promoted radio station contests with Clear Channel Communications, raised money for a child with the Make A Wish Foundation as a Concert Promoter. Promoter for Art Shows and as an Artist Manager/Agent for artists. Worked in Marketing for Dr. Phil in litigation law suits projects. A Tour Guide for Old Town Scottsdale on a Segway, And a Grounds Crew Member for Hot Air Balloons. Also a Writer and a Multimedia Artist.
